Visa Application and Visit to South Africa
This is just a quick update to let you know how I am doing and to ask for some prayer.
Please pray for: I have then also had the opportunity to get some paperwork done and we have once again applied for a work permit. If I do receive this work permit I will then be able to get a 1 year visa. As you know I am still living in China on a F visa which I have to renew every 3 months. Thus getting a work permit and 1 year visa will open many doors for me. Pleae pray for this.
In my last email I mentioned that I would again teach this term, only by God`s grace and provision that is. To my surprise (surprise at the news, not Gods provision) I was asked to teach 4 classes per day this term. God is truly amazing in the ways He provides.The teaching is going really well and I would appreciate it if you would pray for all my students.
I also mentioned that I would be returning to South Africa for a visit in March. All my plans have now been finalized and I will land in South Africa on 2 March. I will then f home to Port Elizabeth and spend some much needed time with my family. At this stage the duration of my visit is still unknown but it should be no less than 3 weeks.
Please pray for all that still has to happen for me in order to make this visit possible. All the little things like visa applications, finances and protection while travelling.
During my visit in South Africa I would also like to spend as much time as possible talking to Churches, Cell Groups, Supporters, friends and family about what I do in China and my plans for the future. So please start thinking about it and let me know if you would like me to come spend some time in your Church, Cell Group or Family. Just Send me an email and and we can arrange a time.
New Year - God Opens Doors.
Blessed New Year in Christ Jesus,
It has been a while since I have sent out a newsletter but I will try to keep it as short as possible.
Firstly, this has been an amazing term and I would just like to Praise God for what He has done. As I wrote in my last email I had the opportunity to teach some classes at the school and through this God provided me with the necessary finances to pay for the things like my Rent, Food and daily expenses.� God also provided me with another 3 Month Visa. But most importantly He was always there to guide and protect me in everything I did.
This term I was involved in many different things and God started opening many new doors. Due to the� nature of many of these things I am not able to talk to much about them, but I will mention them briefly:
�- Spent about 1 week with a Family from the USA who came to visit the areas there Great Grandfather "Worked" in. �- Spent a couple of days working and travelling with a Father and Son team who came to distribute Thousands of "Crumbs" �- Started the production and distribution of different literature. �- Started working on a very sensitive Internet related project. �- Spent time Sharing and Discipling a Couple of friends.
As you can see God opened many doors in this the Literature related area and as most of you may know this is really needed due to the fact that there is basically nothing being done in this area. It is also very difficult as there is not really anything available in China in Simplified Chinese. This does not only affect those who do not yet "Know", but also Our Brothers and Sisters who have to get by with next to nothing.
If you would like to know more about these project please contact me and I will tell you as much as I can.
Then I will also keep on teaching my two classes at the school until March. These classes will now be from Monday to Friday as this is the busy term. I will then be travelling back to South Africa in March but will write more about this later.
I would then please like to ask you to pray for the following:
- The work we are doing in the area of literature. - Protection as this is a very very sensitive area to work in. - Finances to be able to produce/purchase and distribute the Literature. - Workers to come help to do the work. - Personal Finances - Visa Costs, Food and Rent, Travel cost to South Africa and Back to China. - A monthly support group, both Prayer and Financially related.
Then, I would just like to say thank you very much for all your prayers and support in this year.
