Hello from China,
I have some very important news to share with you.
As you might know I came to China with an open heart, knowing only that God wanted me here for some time. Not knowing what I had to do or for how long I would stay.
My time in China has been amazing, God has just done so much in me, through me and provided in every thing I needed. As you know I came to China with only my flight ticket, only finding out that I had the visa to come to China the day before my flight out trusting God to provide for me in my time here. As you know God is faithfull and I have been provided for every day, never needing anything. What an awesome God we serve!
To get back to the news, coming to China I really spent most of my time asking God what He wanted of me here and where I would have to go from here. Well in the last week of the teams stay (Global Challenge team) we visited a small town in China, the same town I visted last year. In this time God really just placed this town on my heart. I spent much time in prayer and finally made the decition that I would not travel with the team to Nepal, but stay in China. Not only staying the extra week in China but staying LONG TERM. Firstly learning the language and getting to know the Chinese culture as well as sharing the Good news as much as I can. Staying most of this year after and then deciding how I would go from there.
I have now thus taken the step of faith to change my flight ticket back to South Africa to later in the year, 21 December , at this stage. I am also trusting God to provide for all I need.
As you know I will need a long term VISA and many other things to be able to stay here long term. But God is faithfull and has allready provided me with a friends motorbike that I will be able to use to travel here in China with.
I am now trusting God for the finances, Job (English teaching), place to stay, visa and whatever else is needed.�
I would like to please ask you to pray with me for all these things.

4. Daily ability to learn Chinese
5. Oppertunities to keep sharing
Please also pray for what ever else God places on your heart.

The snare in Christian work is to rejoice in successful service, to rejoice in the fact that God has used you. You never can measure what God will do through you if you are rightly related to Jesus Christ. Keep your relationship right with Him, then whatever circumstances you are in, and whoever you meet day by day, He is pouring rivers of living water through you, and it is of His mercy that He does not let you know it. When once you are rightly related to God by salvation and sanctification,remember that wherever you are, you are put there by God; and by the reaction of your life on the circumstances around you, you will fulfil God's purpose, as long as you keep in the light as God is in the light. It is the world that God does THROUGH US that counts, not what we do FOR Him.

Hello from China,
Sorry that I have not sent some news in a while but I have been really busy.
Since we last talked God has really been doing great things. Our " 5 day Hike" turned out to be a two day walk of 8km due to some health issues in the team and we decided to rather take a mini van to the next small town.
This was a small town I have visted before and it was really great to be there again. God sent a few people over our paths, on girl in particular who whe could share with and give a bible to - Please pray for her - Ester. Please also pray for this town as this is the town where our contact in China feels lead to stay one day, as there is no believers in this area at all.
After a few days rest in a larger town, waiting for Visa extentions for the rest of the team, we moved again. This time I have the great oppertunity of traveling with my old team mate from last year, Paul!
Withing 3 hours of arriving in the town, again a town we were in last year, we met up with some old friends from last year. They quickly grabed at the oppertunity and we have now been busy in the schools for the last few days and will keep on helping them out. Please pray for these friends, Mr. Fang and Maggie as they are really open to anything we share as we have spent so much time with them last year and now Again have the oppertunity to follow up. Please Please keep Maggie in your prayers in particular as we allready had the oppertunity to share with her last year and we will now try to find out what has happended.
We also had the great oppertunity to share with WHOLE TRUTH with more than 100 students yesterday, and most of them even took some Chinese Breadcrums/Tracts from us. I believe they fully understood the fact that they are sinners and can only come to God through Christ. I can just praise God for giving us the 2 hours class (without a teacher) where we could really just Go full out.
Please also pray for our time ahead. But please try and keep us in Constan prayer on Friday afternoon (Friday Night here) where we will be spreading/boming the whole town with more than 800 breadcrumbs. Please pray that these will have an impact in the peoples lifes and please pray for our protection.
Lastly, as you know I am in China only by God`s grace, provision and guidance. So please pray with me for my time ahead an the decisions I have to make.I am thinking and praying for guidance as to How long I should still stay and also about the possibilty of a long term commitment in China -Please just pray that God`s Will will be done and that what must happen in my life, will.
